• 10K start time: 10:00 a.m.

• 5K start time: 10:10 a.m.

• Awards ceremony: 11:00 a.m. (Starting with the 5K)

Course Description

• First Dam Scary Run Course Maps

• The 5K and 10K start and finish on 300 E on the east side of Merlin Olsen Park. The 10K follows the 5K course for the first mile. Just past mile 1, the 5K turns right on Crockett Avenue while the 10K continues straight on Canyon Road and heads up along First Dam to the mouth of Logan Canyon. There it turns around and comes back along Canyon Road, making a left on Crockett Avenue to rejoin the 5K course to the finish. In other words, the 10K follows the same route as the 5K but takes an out-and-back excursion in the middle to make up the distance.

Prizes

For our 50th anniversary celebration in 2025 we will be giving awards to more participants overall and in each age group.

• Plaques for the top 5 male & female finishers

• Awards (not ribbons) for the first five in these age groups: 11 and under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+, wheelchair

• Prizes will be raffled during the award ceremony (all registered finishers are eligible, but you must be present at the drawing to win)

Entry Fees

• $25 pre-registered through October 23, 2025

• $35 race day registration - Registration starting at 8:30 a.m.

• $20 pre-registered through October 23rd (no t-shirt)

• $30 race day registration (no t-shirt)

• Large Group discount available (15% for 10 or more). Available on the registration page.

Manage your Registration

• With participant self-management, you can change your registration between the 10K and 5K options (free) or sell your registration to another runner ($5 transfer fee applies)

• No deferrals.

Additional Details

• Bathrooms will be available at the start and finish. There will be Port-a-Potties near the starting line and also the restrooms by the pavilion at the park will be open.

• There are no bathrooms provided on the course.

• There will be 1 aid station on the 10K course that runners will go by out and back. No aid stations on the 5K course.

• A finish line aid station is provided.

• No non-registered runners are allowed on the course.

• Chip timing and results by Brooksee.

• Costumes are encouraged! We are looking forward to seeing those dressed up!

• Update - Dogs are not allowed on the course due to the Insurance policy. They are also not allowed in the Park, so plan accordingly.

• Strollers are welcome but must start at the back of the pack of runners to avoid tripping anyone up.
